Milled flake aluminium powder for the aqueous alkaline slurry used to make lightweight aerated concrete blocks. The powder reacts to release hydrogen, forming the uniform cell structure that gives the block its low density. Grades are separated by fineness, which sets bubble size and gas rate.
Used in
- Autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC) blocks and panels
- Lightweight concrete from 350 to 700 kg/m³

- Free aluminium by IS 438. Apparent density by ASTM B417. Blaine surface area by ASTM E204. Particle size by laser diffraction.
- Wet sieve with mineral spirit as rinsing liquid (ISO 1247).
- Hydrogen evolution is measured at 25°C over 16 minutes.
- Values are typical. A certificate of analysis is given with each lot.
