About GK Micro Metals

Making aluminium powder and aluminium pellets since 1997. Plant at Banmore, office at Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh.

Our story

GK Micro Metals (Pvt Ltd) was started in 1997 to make aluminium powder. Over the years the range has grown from a few basic powders to five product lines: aluminium powders for aerated concrete, for AAC, for explosives and atomised aluminium powders, plus aluminium pellets.

The company is run by its two directors. Mr. Sanjiv Kumar Kuchiya looks after the technical side and Ms. Ruchi Kuchiya looks after operations and administration. Because the owners are involved in day-to-day work, a customer who calls with a problem speaks to someone who can decide on it.

What we do

Aluminium powders

Milled flake powder for aerated concrete (AAC) block makers, coated flake powder for explosives manufacturers, and atomised powder in cuts from granular to superfine for foundry, ferro alloy, brake lining, refractory and chemical users.

Aluminium pellets

Dust-free pellets and granules of fine aluminium flake for plastics processors, so that masterbatch can be made without handling loose powder.

Powder is also made to a customer's own size or sieve specification. Tell us the application and we will suggest a grade, or make a trial lot. See the product list for all grades.

Manufacturing

Our plant is at 39 Industrial Area, Banmore. Flake powders are made by milling aluminium in the presence of a coating agent, then classified to size. Atomised powders are made by melting aluminium ingot and breaking the stream into droplets with compressed air, then sieving to the required cut.

Every lot is sampled and tested before dispatch. Test methods are listed on the Quality page.

Safety and environment

Aluminium powder can burn and form explosive dust clouds, so safe working practice is part of every step: grounded equipment, controlled dust, trained staff and proper storage.

We pack in sealed drums and bags and supply handling and storage instructions with every order.
